
Lauren Zoe Hernandez, a U.S. artistic gymnast was born on June 9 1999. Her first season as a senior gymnast she was a part of the U.S. women's gymnastics team named the "Final Five" at the 2016 Summer Olympics; Ultimately the U.S. won gold in the team event. Hernandez was awarded the silver medal in balance beam in the individual competitions. In the last quarter of 2018 Hernandez began her training again and expressed an interest in returning to U.S. women ?Ts gymtic for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Hernandez did not make the cut for the Olympic Gymnastics Trials. Hernandez who is a gymnast has been featured in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars 2016 in which she was paired with Val Chmerkovskiy. Hernandez played the lead role in the debut season of American Ninja Warrior Junior as the on-course reporter, and also starred in the role of Valeria in the Nickelodeon animated mini-series Middle School Moguls. She is the author of two books: I Got This - To Gold and Beyond, which was a New York Times Bestseller, and She's Got This, which is a book for children.
