Kari Sam Wuhrer was born April 28, 1968 is an American Actress and Singer. Wuhrer's career began as she was still a teenager. Her most famous performances include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders and also her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter Karin Noble (nee Noble) and is a payroll accountant and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a car dealer and police officer). She has three sisters and brothers. She was a teenage singer performing in clubs and hid from home in order to perform. She studied acting from her 13th birthday at Wooster School. Later, she studied acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with famed teacher Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer was an American actor, model and singer. Kari started acting when she was a teenager, and her first TV appearance was on 1987's MTV's Remote Control.
