Her modeling career began in the year 1990, and then moved to acting after appearances as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. In 1997 she debuted as an actor in the film Nowhere. The performances she made on the film American Beauty, for which she was awarded an BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie attracted a lot of interest. She has appeared alongside the co-star of American Pie Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) as well as the main character for the film Sugar & Spice (2001).
