Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress born and was raised at home in Orange County. At the age of 5 she moved from Morocco to California. She received her graduation at the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was when she also got her first big break as an actor. Pernas began her acting career through minor roles on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless offered Pernas the character Marisa. Following her departure from the soap-opera Jane the Virgin in 2016 she was recast in the role of Catalina the character that appeared on the show regularly. The model who is fluent in four languages, has appeared in The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Pernas was the character Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure between 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas has been dating her former The Young and the Restless costar Justin Hartley. The romance started after Chrishell Stause and the This Is Us actress split in November 2018. Then, in May 2021 news came out that Pernas Hartley was recently engaged in private.
