Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer in The One Direction band. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on the 1st of February 1994. He's the child of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he founded his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. Despite having always shown interest in music he also wanted to be an attorney or the profession of physiotherapist. In order to support his family, he worked an hour or so working at a baker's shop. Harry Styles, in 2010 made an audition for The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. This is why his band was split. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they formed in 2010. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the contenders for the prize. However, they finished third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group didn't win, Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco record label.
